Margie Hauser Collaborates On Music Projects With Various Artists

The path to a successful music career can often seem like one without direction. But the advice and encouragement of friend and fellow musician Margie Hauser can help those who need answers. She shared her thoughts on making it big and some tricks of the trade to get there.

Margie Hauser’s Music Career

Margie Hauser, an accomplished singer and songwriter, has emerged on the music scene with a commanding voice and creative mind. Since 2008, Hauser’s music career has thrived, and she has received much recognition for her skilful touch at the piano and her ability to write heartfelt lyrics.

Working on her strengths.

Hauser credits her success to the realization that playing music to her strengths is the best way to build a thriving career. “I have no musical training,” she says. “I had this very heavy piano background, and many of my songs are in that style. But my real strength is writing lyrics, so I figured out a way to channel my creative energy into songwriting instead of playing the piano.”

Productive connections are important.

In the songwriting game, it is only sometimes possible to find an audience by taking some risks. Meeting new people and building meaningful relationships is a proven way to get a foot in the door.

“I’ve been very lucky because I have some great buddies in the music industry who have helped me get through the door,” she says. “When I started, I met a few people working on their careers. They were happy to help me and let me learn by watching them. We were all in it together and pushed each other in the songwriting community. That always helps when trying to build a career in something that is not so easy.

Collaborative and Production Opportunities.

The benefits of a stable fellowship with fellow musicians did not go unnoticed. The team they created soon had a few big hits under the belt. “We would work together and collaborate on songs,” says Hauser. “Sometimes we would co-write songs, and I would be the primary lyricist and vocalist, so it worked out pretty well for both of us.”

Hauser also worked with musicians in two highly productive groups for her songwriting career.
