Ben Roethlisberger Achieved Success Both On; Off The Field
Playing for 18 years on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger will go down as one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the NFL. The multi-time Super Bowl winner has found major success on the field and also off the field with his philanthropic causes.
Referred to as “Big Ben”, the elite quarterback got his start in Ohio where he set state records as part of the Findlay football team. He also thrived in baseball and basketball while in high school. For college, Roethlisberger stuck to his home state, playing for Miami University until he was drafted to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2004.
Ben Roethlisberger found quick success on the Steelers. In just his second season with the team, he led to the Super Bowl where they defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-0. Big Ben remains the youngest quarterback to ever win a Super Bowl. A few years later, he would lead the team to another Super Bowl victory over the Arizona Cardinals. He would make several more appearances in the playoffs and reached the Super Bowl for a third time against the Green Bay Packers.
After 18 hard-fought seasons, Roethlisberger retired as one of the greatest Pittsburgh Steelers players to ever take the field. He focused more of his efforts on charitable organizations that he runs. This includes the Roethlisberger Family Foundation, a foundation created to support growing happy and strong families. He also works with the Light of Life Rescue Mission to raise money and provide meals for those in need.
Ben Roethlisberger and his family also contribute to NeoLight, an organization that helps support newborn babies who suffer from jaundice. The organization allows mothers to treat jaundice with special lights and equipment.
Ben’s highlights on the field compliment well with his charitable efforts off the field, creating an impact that will last even longer than his memorable seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Go to this page for more information.
