Renowned business magnate Kelcy Warren has again demonstrated his unwavering confidence in Energy Transfer,
the pipeline giant he co-founded. Recently, Warren invested nearly $40 million
to increase his personal stake in the company, a move that speaks volumes about his faith in its future.
Kelcy Warren’s recent acquisition of 3 million shares in Energy Transfer, outlined in a series
of transactions last week, hasn’t gone unnoticed. Top executives like Warren
often purchase company shares when they believe the stock price is undervalued
or to signal their confidence to investors.
This latest investment isn’t his first show of support for Energy Transfer. In fact, since
the start of 2018, Kelcy Warren has acquired over 103 million shares in the company,
amounting to an investment of just under $950 million.
Kelcy Warren’s fortune, estimated to be over $5.6 billion, is largely tied to Energy Transfer.
As of May 25, he held a significant 9.4% stake in the company’s common units.
Energy Transfer, under Warren’s guidance, has significantly expanded its reach, with its shares
trading at a steady $13 — the same price as Warren’s most recent stock
purchase. The company recently announced a deal valued at $7.1 billion to
acquire Houston-based Crestwood Equity Partners, expanding its footprint in the oil and gas sector.
The acquisition promises to extend Energy Transfer’s assets in the Williston and Delaware oil
and gas basins and provides an entry point to the Powder River basin. With a
vast network of pipelines and storage facilities spanning from Texas to parts
of Canada, Energy Transfer boasts an impressive infrastructure capable of
processing billions of cubic feet of gas each day.
Kelcy Warren’s consistent backing of Energy Transfer embodies his belief in the company’s
potential. His latest investment is a clear testament to his confidence in the
company’s continued growth and success. See related link for more information.
