Randy Douthit
Randy Douthit is the CEO and Founder of Comlink Media. He has led video and cable television, broadcast radio, direct response marketing, film production, and sales. He’s also an accomplished writer. Mr. Douthit has authored 12 books: “The 700 Club”, “58 Ways To Die In 14 Days” (the movie), “God Bless America,” “Randy Douthit’s Guide To Marketing,” “Empowering The World With Technology” with author Chris Anderson, TV Evangelist & Movie Producer. He was a member of the founding board of directors for TBS (Turner Broadcasting System) Technology Executive Search, an organization that helps to place technology executives in major corporations. He also served as Chairman of the Board and a consultant with the Capitol City Chautauqua Society in Charleston, SC.
He has appeared on countless television shows and radio shows around the world, including “The 700 Club”, Dr. James Dobson’s Focus On The Family, “The Crossfire Program” with Alan Colmes and Paul Harvey, C-Span’s Booknotes, Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Nightlights TV and radio programs which has him every week since 1994. Mr. Douthit has been awarded several US Patents and holds patents in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
He is an alumnus of the University of Iowa, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication. He also attended Wake Forest University and earned a Master’s in Radio/Television. In 2015 he was recognized as one of the Top Ten Thought Leaders in Media & Technology by www.htworld.com.
Mr. Douthit has been honored by many media and technology organizations, including the Cable & Satellite Broadcasters Association, Technology Licensing Executives Association, Technomic at the Consumer Electronics Show, the National Cable Television Association, and others.
Mr. Douthit writes a syndicated column for the National Association of Broadcasters (N.A.B.), and his articles appear in their “Member News” section. He is also a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, and its affiliate, the Writers Guild of America, East.
