Activision Blizzard is an international gaming company that has stopped its in-gaming purchase business with Russia. Daniel Alegre is the Chief Operating Officer and the President of the gaming company that is the latest to decide to cut ties with Russia due to her invasion of Ukraine. According to Daniel Alegre, the gaming company is doing its best to help its staff affected by the war in Ukraine; Daniel said this in a letter he wrote to the gaming firm and its Chief Executive Officer. Daniel told the staff at the organization to their brothers’ keepers; that if anyone needed help, they should not delay in reaching out to their leaders.

The company is responsible for providing employee support in its offices in Santa Monica, California, head office. Daniel also mentioned if any of its staff needed emotional support, the company was ready to give. On February 24, 2022, Russia began its attacks on Ukraine. According to history books, the attack is among the most crucial attacks on a sovereign state in Europe since World War II. The continuation of the war is a loss to Russia as gaming companies have stopped business with it in support of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister, Mykhailo Federov, has asked Activision Blizzard and other gaming companies to stop any business with Russia and Belarus. Federov also urged the gaming companies to close the Russian and Belarusian gaming accounts and cancel all events with the countries.

Bobby Kotik is the Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard. Since the war began, Bobby and his company have been supporting Ukraine. Bobby Kotik mentioned that his company had suspended all gaming activities in Russia and is happy about the support his team is giving the Ukrainians. The organization has arranged to give immediate relief to those affected in the region. Daniel did not forget to appreciate Poland for their support; he mentioned that the company would continue to find ways to assist those affected.
