Tieks

How do you disinfect Tieks?

To disinfect your Tieks, you’ll need to use a solution of one-part bleach to 10 parts water.

To make this solution. Pour 1/2 cup of bleach into a large bowl or bucket and add enough water, so the total volume is about 3 quarts.

Mix well until all of the bleach has dissolved into the water.

Soak your shoes in the solution for at least 1 minute, then scrub them with a toothbrush.

Make sure you have enough water to cover all of your Tieks shoes. It is done by using two separate containers or just filling one up and moving it around as needed.

Use an old toothbrush (or, even better, an old makeup brush) that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty because we want it to get wet and muddy.

You could also use a soft sponge or cloth if you prefer not to have bristles on your cleaning tool, but I like having something firm so it’s doing its job well.

Rinse them well with cool water, then allow them to dry completely before wearing them again.

To clean off any bleach that may have splashed on the shoes, use a soft cloth and wipe away any excess bleach.

Make sure to rinse your hands well after touching the shoes or their soles so that you don’t accidentally transfer any chemicals onto other parts of the shoe (like its upper).

Tieks shoes are made of leather and fabric, so they are cleaned the same way as other shoes.

The material is easy to clean and can be treated with a solution of one-part bleach to 10 parts water.

Soak your Tieks in this solution for at least 1 minute before rinsing thoroughly with cold water or wiping them down with a cloth.
