Doug Haynes is the Chairman of The Council. He has had a successful career in management and consultation. Mr. Haynes’ career was inspired by the value of establishing mutual benefits with his clients. Doug provides business consulting services to private and public enterprise leaders. He had other experiences before joining The Council, such as being the president of Point72 Asset Management. He served in this firm for four years, improving the general performance of this hedge fund enterprise in different aspects.
Before being employed at Point72, Doug worked at the USA CIA as a software developer and at GE Plastics as a marketing professional and design engineer. He later embarked on studies at the Darden Graduate School of Business. Doug then joined McKinsey & Company in 1992 as an engineer. Haynes’ career in this firm was successful as he assisted in developing the venture’s practices in Operations, High Tech, and Basic Materials. Doug led this company’s Northeast Region and was a member of its Atlanta, New York, London, and Connecticut offices. He retired from this firm after 22 years.

He sits on the board of various technology startup companies as an advisor. These companies include Vega Factor, ChainIQ, Obsidian Asset Management, and FRISQ.

Most of his contributions go to three main organizations: the Robin Hood Foundation, Camp Southern Ground, and Cohen Veterans Network.
